Crisp County deputy involved in crash

CRISP COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – A Crisp County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) deputy was involved in a crash Wednesday morning.

Just after 10 a.m., a deputy was driving west on Rockhouse Road when he failed to yield to a white Chevy Silverado traveling south on Highway 41. This caused the sheriff’s vehicle to strike the Chevy pickup at the intersection hit.

The two occupants of the Silverado were transported by paramedics to Crisp Regional Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The deputy was treated at the scene.

“If you travel more than 100,000 miles per month, accidents can happen,” said Sheriff Hancock. However, it is not good if they do that. My thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the accident.”
