Teenager killed after collision Tuesday evening, another moderately injured

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Lubbock police are investigating a collision that left one person dead and another slightly injured Tuesday evening.

Just before 7:30 p.m., officers responded to a crash involving injuries in the 4000 block of Idalou Rd.

Police say two pedestrians, 18-year-old Zakeria Bol and 18-year-old Benjamin Brown, were walking northeast on the access road when they were struck by an unknown vehicle. Investigators say the vehicle left the scene.

Brown was taken to UMC to treat his injuries. Bol died at the scene of the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
