One person has died following a crash Saturday evening on Highway 45

CITRONELLE, Ala. (WALA) – Citronelle Fire and Rescue has confirmed that at least one person was killed in a traffic accident on Saturday evening.

They say crews responded to a crash on Highway 45 north of Citronelle around 7:45 a.m. Saturday evening.

Officials say when they arrived, the drivers of both vehicles were trapped.

They say both drivers were successfully extricated from their cars.

However, authorities say one victim died during transport and the other was taken to USA Medical Center

The names of the victims have not been released.
