Crash into pole closes Hamilton Avenue, causing power outages

NORTH COLLEGE HILL, Ohio (WXIX) – An overnight accident closed Hamilton Avenue and damaged a utility pole, knocking out power to some Duke Energy customers in North College Hill, according to police and the utility’s website.

About 18 customers lost power in the crash on Hamilton Avenue between Meis Avenue and Oak Knoll Court about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday, Duke Energy reports.

The driver was not injured but was ticketed for losing control of his vehicle, North College Hill police tell FOX19 NOW.

Police say the road has reopened and Duke Energy crews are expected to repair the pole.
