Ocean County man arrested on charges of assault and property damage





OCEAN COUNTY, NJ – Traesean Krause, 28, was taken into custody Friday on multiple charges, including aggravated assault and criminal mischief, following an incident that authorities said remains under investigation.

Krause faces several serious charges, including aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing bodily harm, simple assault with a deadly weapon and property damage under New Jersey’s criminal mischief statute. He is also suspected of driving with a revoked driver’s license.

Court records show Krause is being held without bail on several charges, while a $500 bond has been set in connection with another case. He was taken into custody in Ocean County on November 29.

Krause, who is described in jail records as a single man with a high school education, has no known aliases. Additional details about the circumstances of the alleged violations have not been released by authorities.

Charges against Krause include:

  • Aggravated assault with a deadly weapon causing bodily harm (Code 2C:12-1B(3), second-degree misdemeanor)
  • Simple assault with a deadly weapon causing bodily harm (Code 2C:12-1A(2), misdemeanor of the fourth degree)
  • Criminal mischief causing material damage (Code 2C:17-3A(1), third-degree misdemeanor)
  • Driving with a revoked driver’s license (Code 39:3-40, disorderly persons offense)

Krause remains in custody and legal proceedings are expected to follow.
