Sky Sports makes important Roy Keane ‘decision’ for Liverpool vs Man City after supporters’ elimination

Roy Keane will reportedly be part of Sky Sports’ line-up for Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash between Liverpool and Manchester City – despite being involved in a heated argument with an Ipswich Town supporter last weekend.

The 53 year old was involved in an on-field altercation with supporters at Portman Road last Sunday ahead of Manchester United’s 1-1 draw against Ipswich Town. And Keane, who managed the Tractor Boys between 2009 and 2011, was caught on camera offering to meet a disgruntled fan in the car park after the match in a bid to resolve the matter.

The Daily mail reports that Sky Sports also questioned the other employees on the pitch – Kelly Cates, Jamie Redknapp and Izzy Christiansen – in an attempt to understand the facts of the case. But despite the incident, it is claimed that Keane – who has less than 12 months left on his contract with Sky Sports – will be part of the broadcasters’ line-up for Sunday’s match on Anfield between Liverpool and Manchester City.

Last weekend’s altercation was the second time in as many seasons that Keane has been involved in a confrontation with a supporter after being headbutted at the Emirates Stadium last season.
