Man found dead on the side of the road after reports of gunfire in Robeson County

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WMBF) – Authorities in North Carolina are investigating after a 20-year-old man was found dead Saturday.

The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to East Green Springs Road in Parkton for an incident involving a weapon. The sheriff’s office also noted the incident

Officers reportedly discovered two homes damaged after a shootout.

According to the sheriff’s office, 20-year-old Brandon Deal was found dead in a roadway near the homes where shots had been fired.

Officials said an investigation is underway and a person involved in the incident has been identified.
