Five men have been charged in connection with human trafficking in Aberdeen.

Police executed arrest warrants at addresses in the city center on Wednesday, resulting in five men being charged.

The men, Cosmin Cristea, 20, Ionut Cristea, 32, Laurentiu Raducanu, 29, Cristi Serea, 32, and Danut Burcea, 34, appeared at Aberdeen Sheriff Court on Thursday, December 5.

All five were charged under the Human Trafficking and Exploitation (Scotland) Act 2015.

They did not enter a plea and were remanded in custody pending further investigation.

They are expected to appear in court again within eight days.
