Man charged after shooting at police in Tuscola Co.

TUSCOLA CO., MI (WNEM) – A 38-year-old man is facing 12 felonies and three misdemeanors after shooting at police officers on Nov. 27.

Michael Fall is the person accused of shooting at those officers, according to Michigan State Police (MSP) Lt. Kim Vetter.

He has been charged with the following crimes:

  • Two charges of assault with intent to murder
  • One count of discharging a weapon in or near a building
  • One count of carrying a weapon with unlawful intent
  • Two charges of assault, resisting, obstructing a police officer,
  • Six charges of carrying a firearm

He also faces the following three misdemeanor charges:

  • One count of domestic violence
  • One count of domestic violence – aggravated
  • One count of reckless use of firearms

On Thursday, November 28, MSP said Caro Pose Troopers responded overnight to a domestic violence complaint in the 8000 block of Irish Road in Millington Township.

Officers from the Vassar Police Department arrived on the scene first, MSP said, adding that they were confronted by a suspect who began firing a gun at them.

A hearing for Fall is scheduled for Dec. 11 at 8:15 a.m. His bond has been set at $700,000.
