Showrunner of ‘Scare Tactics’ on creating a season full of fears

For five seasons, from 2003 to 2013, Scare tactics scared his targets and had viewers in stitches with his gruesome pranks. Well, thanks for that Jordan Peele and Monkeypaw Productions, the series is back, led by showrunner Elan Gale. With a new ghostly host and a whole host of complex new shenanigans, this is the case Scare tactics for audiences new and old, ready to make you laugh and make targets run away in fear.

For those who don’t know the show: Scare tactics turns unsuspecting individuals into the protagonists of their own horror films in a cinematic approach to the hidden camera concept. Each episode features devious pranksters who ensnare friends and family, aka targets, in hilariously twisted scenarios that blur the lines of reality, horror and comedy.

We spoke to Gale about his deep love of horror, the incredible teams that made the show possible, and pushing boundaries when it comes to terror.
