The Health Ministry says nine people were hospitalized during the protest rally in Tbilisi

The Georgian Ministry of Health said on Saturday that nine persons were hospitalized and injured in various medical institutions during yesterday’s protest rally in the capital Tbilisi, which was held against the government’s recent announcement to suspend EU accession negotiations until 2028 to suspend.

The protesters suffered various injuries, including trauma to the chest and upper extremities, fractures of the upper extremities, superficial wounds and intoxication, the ministry noted.

“Two patients continue treatment under medical supervision in clinics. Their lives are not in danger. The rest have been discharged from medical facilities,” the body added.

It was also pointed out that twenty brigades of the Emergency Coordination and Urgent Care Center were mobilized near the meeting, providing medical assistance to the participants on the spot, eliminating the need for hospitalization.

The ministry added that the information provided only included the number of persons hospitalized by the Emergency Center.
