Man accused of having sex with North Collins sisters | News, sports, jobs

A Rochester man is accused of having sexual relations with two underage women from southern Erie County and recording the act on his cell phone.

U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross announced that Ahmed Yaqoob, 24, has been arrested and charged with production and possession of child pornography, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years and a maximum of 30 years.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Aaron J. Mango, who is handling the case, stated that according to the complaint, the Erie County Sheriff’s Office responded to a residence in the town of North Collins on Oct. 18 to follow up on a report of the rape . of a minor. The investigation revealed that a 12-year-old female began communicating with Yaqoob through the dating application on October 17 “Pure.”

Yaqoob and the 12-year-old made arrangements to meet at her home in North Collins. When Yaqoob arrived, the 12-year-old and her 14-year-old sister got into Yaqoob’s car. The complaint states that Yaqoob took both girls to the area around Zoar Valley Road in the Town of Concord, where Yaqoob had sexual relations with both girls.

Investigators believe Yaqoob recorded the sexual activity on his cell phone. On October 24, investigators searched Yaqoob’s cell phone and found two videos recorded and deleted from the device on their respective dates and times. The videos allegedly showed the victims having sexual relations with Yaqoob.

The complaint is the result of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, under the direction of Special Agent Matthew Miraglia, and the Erie County Sheriff’s Office, under the direction of Sheriff John Garcia.
