(ABC 6 News) — A new accusation is against one of the most powerful people in the music industry: Jay-Z.

A recently amended civil lawsuit claims he sexually assaulted a then-13-year-old girl with rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs after the Video Music Awards 14 years ago.

On Monday, Jay-Z filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit, denying the claims, calling them “idiotic” and saying it was an “attempt at blackmail.”

Jay-Z is now challenging the plaintiff’s attorney to change the civil suit to a criminal complaint and use the name Jane Doe himself.

Combs’ lawyer also released a new statement, writing: “In court, the truth prevails” and that he has never sexually abused or trafficked anyone.
