Antonio Solano is facing multiple drug charges.

A 40-year-old man is facing multiple charges after authorities say he found drugs at a registered daycare in Lawrence.

Antonio Solano of Lawrence was charged Monday with trafficking in 36 grams or more of fentanyl, two counts of trafficking in more than 10 grams of fentanyl, distribution of methamphetamine, distribution of a Class B substance and possession with intent to distribute a substance. Class B substance. He pleaded not guilty to all charges against him.

The Essex County District Attorney’s Office said in a statement that the charges stem from the execution of a search warrant at the daycare on Friday by investigators from the State Police Gang Unit and the Lawrence Police Department’s Enforcement Unit.

The search of the Sixta Child Daycare center on Ames Street resulted in the discovery of “numerous plastic bags” containing drugs, including what prosecutors said was fentanyl and methamphetamine.

The district attorney’s office said two children were in the daycare when the search was conducted.

Solano’s connection to the childcare facility was not immediately disclosed by authorities.

An attorney for Solano did not immediately return a request for comment. He will return to court on January 3 for a probable cause hearing.
