Two teenagers were seriously injured in an ambulance crash in Leighton

Two teenagers were seriously injured when a car collided with an ambulance.

Cheshire Police were called at around 5:15pm GMT on Saturday to Tottys Hall Way, Crewe, near Leighton Hospital, where a Ford Fiesta had crashed with a vehicle carrying out a non-emergency transport of a patient.

The driver of the Fiesta, an 18-year-old man from Sandbach, and one of the passengers, a 19-year-old man from Winsford, are being treated in hospital.

Two other passengers in the Fiesta were also injured in the crash, while the patient in the ambulance suffered minor injuries.
