Man suffers broken arm after attack in Carrickfergus – The Irish News

Police are investigating after a man was left with a broken arm following an attack on a house in Co Antrim.

The incident happened in the Hawthorne Avenue area Carrickfergus on Monday.

Two men are said to have approached a property shortly before 9pm and attacked the male resident with a weapon in a doorway.

One of the suspects smashed an adjacent window of the property, while also attempting to further strike the victim.



A PSNI spokesperson said: “The victim is believed to have suffered a broken arm and was left shaken as a result of the incident.”

“We are currently investigating a number of lines of inquiry in our efforts to identify the suspects and I am appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or anything suspicious in the area, or anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage who could can do. to assist our investigation, to contact detectives on 101 quoting reference number 1628 of 24/12/09.”
