The Governor’s Office announces new funding for law enforcement training and recruitment

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. (KTTC) – Minnesota Governor Tim Walz plans to promote millions of dollars in funding earmarked for the future of law enforcement in the state.

Governor Walz will visit a college in twin city Brooklyn Park on Tuesday to announce $4.5 million to support training and recruitment for the state’s 46 law enforcement agencies.

State officials say the money is expected to help pay for the education of about 100 students transitioning to careers in law enforcement.
