Vicki Markussen announces candidacy for mayor of La Crosse

LA CROSSE, Wis. (WEAU) – Vicki Markussen is the third person to announce her candidacy for mayor of La Crosse.

According to her campaign websiteshe has spent most of her professional life leading community-based organizations focused on housing affordability, the economy, local businesses and workforce development. Markussen wants to increase safety, preserve amenities and limit property taxes.

In 2021 Markussen hardly lost to Mitch Reynolds, who won’t be to run for re-election.

She joins two others walking comradesEllie McLoone and Shaundel Washington-Spivey, at the election.
