Police are looking for four boys after a 16-year-old suffered a broken jaw in an assault near the Cannock eatery

The attack took place on November 26 (Tuesday) at around 7.40pm on Stafford Road, near the Podge & Tin eatery.

The victim, a 16-year-old boy, was taken to hospital by family members and is now reportedly recovering at home.

Police arrested a 17-year-old boy on suspicion of grievous bodily harm with intent, but he has since been released on police conditional bail while investigations continue.

Four other boys are believed to be involved and officers would like to speak to them.

Staffordshire Police is looking for information or witnesses.

A police spokesperson said: “We are particularly keen to speak to anyone who may have seen a group of young men in Cannock town center prior to the attack or anyone who may have relevant dashcam footage. Anyone with information should contact us on 101 quoting the incident number. 618 of November 26.”
