Trio charged after police seize cocaine, guns in Alliston bust: OPP

Police say the search turned up approximately two ounces of cocaine, four imitation handguns, one imitation rifle and other assorted weapons

NEW TECUMSETH – Three people have been charged following a search warrant in Alliston that led to the seizure of guns, about two ounces of cocaine and a pickup truck yesterday.

The police investigation, which involved members of the Nottawasaga OPP community street crime unit (CSCU), emergency response team (ERT) and assistance from the crime reduction unit (CRU), culminated in the execution of a search warrant on Knight Street.

“In the fall of 2024, the Nottawasaga CSCU began an investigation into a male (allegedly) trafficking drugs in downtown Alliston. Officers observed activity consistent with drug trafficking and obtained a CDSA (Controlled Drugs and Substances Act) search warrant,” OPP stated in a news release.

On December 10, the OPP allege that officers observed one of the suspects conducting a drug transaction in Tottenham and that police, with the assistance of ERT officers, arrested the male suspect as he was parked on the side of the road.

Nottawasaga CSCU officers then visited the Alliston residence and executed a CDSA search warrant shortly before 1 p.m.

A search of the home, along with three vehicles, was completed during which police say they seized approximately two ounces of cocaine, four imitation pistols, one imitation rifle, one prohibited knife, twelve knives, five swords/axes/cleavers, two cellphones, and a set of scales. have been taken. brass knuckles, a bulletproof vest and two headphones, believed to have been stolen. They also seized a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado pickup, valued at $30,000, as “crime-related property.”

Eric Hogg, 36, of Adjala-Tosorontio, has been charged with trafficking in a Schedule I substance (cocaine), possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking in persons (cocaine), possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose (four counts), possession of a prohibited device and infringement of recognizance.

Trevor Wilson, 38, of Alliston, has been charged with trafficking a Schedule I substance (cocaine), possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose (four counts), possession of a prohibited device, breach of recognition and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (two counts).

Kelsey Kirk, 35, of Alliston, has been charged with trafficking a Schedule I substance (cocaine), possession of a Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine), possession of an imitation weapon for a dangerous purpose (four counts), possession of a prohibited device, and possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 (two counts).

None of the allegations have been tested in court.

The OPP say Hogg and Wilson were being held for a bail hearing scheduled for December 12.

Kirk was released on a warrant with a court date set for January 9.
