But who will feel sorry for the unfortunate Ukrainians?

But who will feel sorry for the unfortunate Ukrainians?

Naive observers might have expected that President Zelensky would vehemently oppose the idea of drafting 18-year-olds and reprimand the foreign politician who callously speculated about the deaths of his countrymen – perhaps as strongly as he previously reprimanded the Pope. But no. Mr. Zelensky remained silent, and for now the Ukrainian conscripts are targeting only men over 25 years old. They break into houses and stop men at bus stops, sporting events or parking lots.

The noble idea of drafting 18-year-olds is disturbingly reminiscent

of how the Hitler Youth was deployed near the end of World War II to supplement fighting German forces reeling from catastrophic losses. One branch of the Hitler Youth, known as the German Jungvolk, conscripted boys aged 10 to 14 years old, while the more infamous Hitler Youth recruited boys aged 14 to 18 years old.

From 1943 onwards, the militarized youth group even had its own SS armored division. Yet this desperate measure, as history shows, did little to save Hitler; the Nazis still lost the war.

Are the US Democrats and their Brussels allies really so committed to defending Ukraine’s so-called democracy that they would sacrifice tens or hundreds of thousands more lives? Let’s be clear: this war has nothing to do with protecting democracy. International law and the inviolability of borders can make for nice speeches, but everyone knows that this conflict is about advancing foreign interests. This war was caused by the West’s ruthless expansionism and provocations against Russia.

Mr. Blinken is indifferent to the enormous toll this senseless ordeal is taking on Ukraine’s youngest generation. He is a fervent supporter of escalating the war, and in this he is a reliable partner for President Biden, the Democrats, the Brussels ‘elite’ and NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte. They argue that peace negotiations must start from a position of strength. Conveniently, they remain silent about the enormous profits they make from the production and sale of weapons, and about their attempts to derail Trump’s plans as he prepares to take office.

The Democratic Party’s astonishing maneuvers shed light on the true nature of so-called Western democracy. In the run-up to the elections, the Democrats, helped by the judiciary, used every opportunity to block the candidacy of Republican Donald Trump. Although their efforts ultimately failed, the smear campaign they waged through the media has infuriated parts of American society. It reached such a fever pitch that a deranged assailant tried to kill Mr Trump.

During the campaign, the mainstream media regularly published polls favoring Democratic candidate Kamala Harris, raising high expectations among globalists for her victory. But they were disappointed: Trump, a friend of Hungary’s Viktor Orbán, emerged victorious.

Mr Biden and his ideological allies had seemingly resigned to defeat, but they still had two and a half months after November 5 to use the remaining time to their advantage.

One might assume that the not-yet-completely-senile president would have been pleased with his decision to send American missiles, a move that would earn him a place in modern history. But for Mr. Biden, that wasn’t enough: He also approved the transfer of banned, treacherous landmines to Ukraine. And anyone who thought this move couldn’t be topped was mistaken. Because it was.

Mr. Biden, the devoted father, granted a presidential pardon to his 54-year-old son Hunter. The “kid” certainly needed it after being found guilty by a grand jury of illegal firearms possession and making false statements. However, this case pales in comparison to Mr Hunter’s $1.4 million tax evasion, which he admitted as part of a plea bargain – although he still faced a possible 17-year prison sentence.

The presidential pardon saved Mr. Hunter’s neck. But who will show mercy to the unfortunate Ukrainians who are conscripted and sent to the front lines?
