Mumbai: The CCTV footage from the electric BEST bus that rammed into vehicles and pedestrians in Mumbai’s Kurla on Monday, December 9. The tragic accident claimed the lives of 7 people and approximately 42 persons suffered serious injuries. The video shows that the bus was overcrowded with passengers sitting on the bus and also standing while the bus driver was beating. The video shows that the passengers on board the bus panicked and were terrified when the accident occurred.

The incident took place on Monday, December 9 at around 9.30 pm at the market opposite L Ward, Anjum-E-Islam School, SG Barve Marg, Kurla (West). The CCTV footage from the bus is going viral on social media and it appears to be a scene from a Hollywood movie, where the bus driver goes on a rampage, crushing and killing people, and the passengers panic with fear at the moment of the incident.

The video shows that the bus is overcrowded and the passengers are standing because there is no empty seat on the bus. You can see how the conductor hands out tickets and collects money from passengers. They knew little of the incident that was about to take place at that moment. The passengers were panicked and terrified when the bus had its first impact after the collision. They seemed to have no idea what was going on and that the driver had lost control of the speeding bus.

The passengers are shocked by the incident. They are seen receiving shocks as the bus collides with other vehicles during the collision. The passengers who were seated also lined up anxiously to get off the bus. You see the passengers waiting for the bus to stop and get to safety. The passenger is also seen holding the bars inside the bus to prevent him from falling.

Kurla police arrested the accused BEST bus driver, identified as Sanjay More (54). He appeared in court, after which the court remanded him in custody until December 21. Police have launched an investigation into the matter and are questioning the suspect.
