Netflix film makes fun of the nativity scene and jokes about aborting baby Jesus

Netflix’s latest offering, “That Christmas,” an animated Christmas movie aimed at families, makes a mockery of the Christmas story in one scene and is drawing a lot of attention.

The film revolves around a group of children, all led by a rebellious teenager named Bernadette. At one point in the film, the kids come together to put on a school Christmas production, written by a few students who feel like biblical birth The story is too old-fashioned for modern culture.

When Bernadette introduces the program, she describes Jesus as “a cool guy” with a beard and long hair and “kind of woodworking,” and actually calls him “a hipster.”

The Vatican will unlock five ‘holy portals’ on Christmas Eve, ahead of the anniversary year

The Vatican’s announcement of opening sacred portals has raised eyebrows and sparked intrigue for the first time in 25 years. The ceremony, which coincides with the anniversary year of 2025, will include the opening of five “Sacred Doors” in ancient basilicas, with one “hypothetical” door in Italy’s Rebibbia prison. While the Catholic Church claims that this tradition maintains a “door to salvation,” one cannot help but ask: what exactly is the Catholic Church trying to accomplish with this elaborate ritual? And more importantly, where in the Bible is this remotely supported?

According to The Daily Mail, the Holy Doors are located at some of Rome’s most venerated basilicas, such as St. Peter’s Basilica and St. John Lateran, and are only ceremonially bricked up and unsealed during the jubilee years. Pope Francis, who initiated the ritual on December 2, describes it as a time to focus on hope and spiritual renewal amid global crises such as war, the lingering effects of COVID-19 and climate change. He has also extended this symbolic act to prisoners, aiming to convey a message of hope. The theme of the anniversary year, “Pilgrims of Hope”, reflects these ambitions.

While the pope’s sentiment is admirable, the ritual itself is baffling. The “opening” of doors – which requires removing brick walls – is described as a “symbol of salvation,” but this imagery has no precedent in Christian Scripture. Nowhere in the Bible is there any mention of “Sacred Doors” that must be ceremoniously opened to indicate divine grace. In any case, Jesus Christ himself declared: “I am the door. If anyone enters through Me, he will be saved” (John 10:9). This verse proves that access to salvation is found in faith in Christ, and not through elaborate rituals or symbolic structures.

Prophetic Word: What You Need to Know Before You Enter 2025

In a powerful message, Jeremiah Johnson gave a word to the people of God about what to expect in the year 2025.

For many Christians, God has placed dreams, blueprints, and designs in their hearts that have seemingly been put on hold and postponed for a later time. However, one of the things that Johnson believes will happen in the coming year is that those plans will no longer be put on hold.

“The Lord is beginning to show me that there are things that many of you have put on the shelf,” Johnson said. “There are projects and there are things that God has called many of us to do that we have put aside. There has been a delay. There has been a setback, whether caused by the hand of the enemy or simply something we feel like doing the Holy Spirit has told us to withdraw…’
