Jeff Ulbrich gives updates on injuries, another is on injured reserve

New York Jets head coach Jeff Ulbrich provided injury updates Wednesday ahead of his team’s Week 15 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The worst of the bunch involved special teams player Irv Charles.

Charles, 27, goes to injured reserve and his season is over. During the second half of New York 32-26 overtime loss to the Miami Dolphins last week, Charles tore his cruciate ligament.

“In a very tough, challenging year in many ways, an absolute bright spot for this team,” Ulbrich said of Charles.

In addition to Charles, Ulbrich said running back Breece Hall is still “struggling” with his knee injury. On the plus side, cornerback Sauce Gardner was said to be “good to go” to face the Jaguars (3-10).
