MAGA News Star Denounces Pete Hegseth “Doesn’t Look Like a Fighter”

News personalities on right-wing media platforms think twice (or more) before criticizing the actions of the former and future president Donald Trump. After all, a mocking or dismissive Truth Social or X post from Trump could hinder the careers of anyone who questions him, especially on the right, where Trump has enormous influence.

(NOTE: Trump, whose recent electoral triumph has put his opponents on alert, has repeatedly vowed retaliation against his opponents, for example again this week suggesting that members of the January 6 Committee (Liz Cheney, Adam Kinzingerand company) should “go to jail.”}

The President-elect and his key supporters (Kash Patel, Elon Musk, Charlie Kirk, et al.) have also threatened many who are believed to be on his side, including possible Republican lawmakers – such as Senator Sen. Joni Ernst (R-IA) – who take their duty of “advice and consent” seriously and refuse to obediently board the MAGA train just because it is leaving the station.

Kirk and other Trump loyalist influencers have pledged to prioritize any member of Congress who tries to block a Trump nominee on any grounds — even if there are legitimate concerns about national security priorities.

So it’s no surprise that he previously expressed his dissatisfaction with Trump’s nominee for Secretary of Defense Piet HegsethNewsmax host Greg Kelly first assures his audience, “I love President Trump, but he is not infallible and personnel mistakes will be made from time to time.”

Kelly then claims “and I get to say what I think about these mistakes.”

Kelly also goes out of his way to claim that his apostate conclusion came independently, assuring the public that he did not rely on “fake news” to fuel his anti-Hegseth stance. No, Kelly is shocked by what Hegseth’s own attorney reportedly admitted: that Hegseth paid money to silence — via a nondisclosure agreement — a woman who allegedly accused him of sexual assault.

This situation proves to Kelly that Hegseth “doesn’t seem like a fighter” – which is the worst accusation that can be made about a tough combat veteran aspiring to lead the US Department of Defense.

Kelly shares his exceptionally personal reasoning behind this conclusion, revealing that he too was “falsely” accused of sexual assault.

“I was once falsely accused of sexual assault,” Kelly says. “I would never pay that person a dime in a billion years. Pete Hegseth – that doesn’t sound like a fighter. That sounds like someone who can blackmail. And I don’t feel comfortable if that person is the Secretary of Defense.”

Kelly also castigates Hegseth for his adultery, saying that adultery – while unfortunately accepted in civilian life – is “different” in the military, where it is more important and where the practice can weaken the country’s defenses.
