Suspect arrested in Tulsa stabbing incident

Officers arrested a man suspected of stabbing someone on Monday evening.

According to the Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO), deputies responded to the stabbing incident near 6000 N Norfolk Plaza around 2:30 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers found a male victim with a stab wound to the abdomen.

The victim told officers the altercation began on 59th Street North with 31-year-old Jacob Burris.

The victim said he was walking along the path when Burris drove, got out of the car and approached with a knife in hand.

The victim tried to flee but tripped, at which point Burris allegedly stabbed him in the stomach. -Tulsa County Sheriff’s Office

Burris reported he left the scene before officers arrived.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

After officers gathered information, they located Burris at the HomeStay Inn on the 8000 Block in East Skelly.

TCSO said Burris was arrested without incident.

He was charged with one felony count of assault and battery with a deadly weapon.
