Couple is convicted of murdering man in Las Vegas hotel room robbery

The two women accused of killing a man in a Las Vegas Strip hotel room last year will be sentenced in early 2025.

Erika Covington and Arionna Taylor are facing several charges, including open murder, following the 2023 incident.

Court records show the couple pleaded guilty in November and will be sentenced on January 23, 2024.

Investigators say officers received reports of a unresponsive manfound in a room on Las Vegas Boulevard near Tropicana Avenue just before noon on Monday, May 15.

He was pronounced dead at the scene after being found with a gunshot wound. He was identified as 25-year-old Bryan Altamirano-Solano.

Investigation revealed that the man entered his room at Caesars Palace with the two women around 2:36 am. About ten minutes later, the two women were seen fleeing the area with his belongings.

They would be found and taken into custody by the Criminal Apprehension Team.

Both Covington and Taylorspoke to the police after their arrest, where they claimed not to remember the day’s events but did not deny meeting the man.

They are both being held without bail at the Clark County Detention Center.
