Chicago Bears Saturday injury report: Elijah Hicks returns

Chicago Bears Saturday injury report: Elijah Hicks returns

The Bears got D’Andre Swift back on a limited basis during practice on Saturday and it seems likely he will try to play against the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football.

Swift is listed as questionable for the game but was on the same status last week, playing off a groin injury. Interim head coach Thomas Brown feels good about Swift’s chances of playing.

“I mean, I’m positive about it, but we’ll see in the next few days how it goes,” Brown said.

The Bears’ backfield will once again be without Roschon Johnson at short due to a concussion. He’s out and hasn’t practiced all week.

BEARS AND VIKINGS: WHO WINS AND WHY

The defensive front will be without 3-technique starter Gervon Dexter. He is also ruled out due to a knee injury. The other Bears player out is guard Ryan Bates with a concussion.

The good injury news for the Bears is that Elijah Hicks will make his return after two games due to an ankle injury. He had a full practice on Saturday after limited practices on Thursday and Friday and is no longer on the injury report.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE CHICAGO BEARS OF 2024?

Defensive back Josh Blackwell is also off the injury report after limited shoulder training earlier this week. Like Hicks, he completed a full practice on Saturday so he will be available to replace injured return man DeAndre Carter.

For the Vikings, cornerback Stephon Gilmore (hamstring) is questionable.
